General Plan
The entire Oak Grove property is within Pleasanton’s city
limits. Nearly all (87%) of the site is within the City’s Urban
Growth Boundary (UGB). The General Plan and the City Housing Cap
designate that as many as 98 homes could be built on the 489
acres portion of the property within the UGB. The
approved Oak Grove plan essentially inverts land uses designated
in General Plan by: dramatically reducing developed land from
87% to 12%; and dramatically increasing the amount of land
preserved forever as an open-space greenbelt from 14% to 88% .
