On June 8, we’ll be asked to uphold the Pleasanton City Council’s approval of the reduced plan for Oak Grove.

This reduced plan is the result of the Council asking us to set aside what we wanted and instead work with neighbors to create a plan they would support.

The collaboration yielded a plan that asks for less than legally allowed and delivers more to the community than legally required.

On June 8, vote YES on D to approve our reduced plan and bring big benefits to Pleasanton.

The Oak Grove property is within the urban boundary and is legally planned for 98 homes. It is located behind Kottinger Ranch. It is approximately 566 acres, and nearly the entire property is designated as "Residential" in the city's voter-approved General Plan. The plan for Oak Grove calls for just 51 homes, leaves nearly 90% of the property - 496 acres - as open space to protect the highest ridgelines. The plan also provides $2 million in fees to schools, $1 million for traffic improvements, more than $200,000 in new annual tax revenue to the city, and another $300,000 in new annual revenue for our local schools.
