A Regional Trail in Southeast
Pleasanton
The new park at Oak Grove will be Pleasanton’s largest. The park
at Oak Grove is a key dedication of property that works toward
the City Council’s vision for a 1500-2000 acre greenbelt
protecting Pleasanton’s southern boundary. Besides giving nearly
500 acres of open space to the City, the Oak Grove landowner
will build a significant portion of the regional trail linking
Callippe Preserve and Shadow Cliffs Regional Park.
Local Trails at Oak Grove
The new park at Oak Grove will be similar to the Augustin Bernal
park on the Pleasanton Ridge in west Pleasanton. It will be a
nature park with miles of local hiking, bicycling and equestrian
trails. (Motorized vehicles will be prohibited.) The trails at
Oak Grove will carry out the Pleasanton Master Trails Plan.
Below is Pleasanton’s existing community trails and bikeways map
with the new local, public trails at Oak Grove highlighted.
(Pleasanton’s Trails Ad Hoc Committee and Parks and Recreation
Commission will determine the exact location of the Oak Grove
trails.)
